Directions by car

From Brussels

Via the A12 (N177 or Boomsesteenweg). After the long Wilrijk viaduct, keep left and drive through the tunnel (Jan de Vos Tunnel). On exiting the tunnel, continue along the motorway following the signs for Antwerpen–Centrum. Turn left at the traffic lights at the New Court House. Continue beyond the petrol station (Desmet & Van Diest) and take the first right turn into Pacificatiestraat. After the crossing, the first street on the right is Emiel Banningstraat.

Via the E19 (A1): in Craeybeckx Tunnel, follow the signs for Gent onto the Ring Road. Leave the Ring Road at exit 5a (which is confusingly referred to as Antwerpen–Zuid, Antwerpen–Centrum and Schelde–Hoboken, so just focus on exit 5a) and follow the direction of Schelde. Turn left at the traffic lights at the New Court House. Continue beyond the petrol station (Desmet & Van Diest) and take the first right turn into Pacificatiestraat. After the crossing, the first street on the right is Emiel Banningstraat.

From Ghent

Via the E17 (A14): follow the motorway into Kennedy Tunnel and keep right. Immediately after the tunnel, exit the motorway on the right, following the signs for Schelde. Turn left at the traffic lights at the New Court House. Continue beyond the petrol station (Desmet & Van Diest) and take the first right turn into Pacificatiestraat. After the crossing, the first street on the right is Emiel Banningstraat.

From the Netherlands

Via the E19 (A1): follow the Antwerp Ring Road, ignoring all signs for Brussels.

Directions by public transport

From railway station Antwerpen–Centraal

By underground (premetro): lines 3, 10 or 11 to Linkeroever. Leave the underground at Groenplaats, and take a number 8 tram to Lambermontplaats. Get off the tram at the final stop, on Lambermontplaats. Emiel Banningstraat lies straight ahead. Allow for 30 to 40 minutes from the railway station.

Alternatively, if you want to avoid having to change trams, walk out of the station and along De Keyserlei to a broad crossing with Frankrijklei. On the other side of the crossing, slightly to the left, you will notice a bus stop. Take tram 12 to the final stop at the New Court House at Bolivarplaats from where you can walk right into Emiel Banningstraat. Alternatively, you can take bus 1 or 23 to their last stop on Amerikalei. From here, it is a 2 minutes’ walk to Emiel Banningstraat. Allow for 30 to 40 minutes from the railway station.

From railway station Antwerpen–Berchem

Walk right after descending from the quays, and leave the station via the main entrance hall and onto Burg. E. Ryckaertsplein. At the far end of the square, take tram 8 in the direction of the city centre (to the left facing away from the railway station exit). Get off the tram at the final stop on Lambermontplaats. Emiel Banningstraat lies straight ahead. Allow for 30 to 40 minutes from the railway station.

Taxi stops at Antwerpen–Berchem railway station are located at the rear exit of the station (walk left after descending from the quays). Taxis should drive along Singel down to the New Court House at Bolivarplaats.

From railway station Antwerpen–Zuid

As you leave the railway station via the steps, turn right and cross at the traffic lights. At the other side, turn left and cross the road again. Continue along Singel towards the New Court House with its distinctive spiked roof. Cross Bolivarplaats outside the New Court House and turn right into Emiel Banningstraat. Allow for about 15 minutes from the railway station.
