Lawyers
Eric Van Hooydonk runs the office. He is a master of laws (LL.M, University of Antwerp, 1988), a master of maritime sciences (University of Antwerp, 1988) and a doctor of laws (LL.D, University of Antwerp, 1994). In 1988, he became a practising lawyer at the Antwerp Bar Association and joined the law office of Leo Delwaide.
Since 1994, he lectures in maritime and transport law, law of the sea and related courses at the University of Antwerp, where he works as a part-time professor. Early 1995, he established his own law firm. He is the author of numerous studies on economic administrative law and transport law and often acts as a guest speaker at events and conferences in Belgium and abroad. Since 2000, he chairs the European Institute of Maritime and Transport Law. He is a member of the editorial board and/or board of directors of The Journal of International Maritime Law (UK), Tijdschrift Vervoer & Recht (Netherlands and Belgium) and Antwerp Maritime Law Reports (Belgium). He is a Titulary Member of the Comité Maritime International and a member of several scientific associations.

Björn Cloots |
Björn Cloots took the degree of Master of Laws at the University of Antwerp in 2003. Subsequently, he obtained an Expert Class Certificate in Social Law (University of Antwerp Management School, 2004) and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law (University of Antwerp, 2005).
At present Björn Cloots is working on a doctoral dissertation on infrastructure charging in the transport and utilities sectors.

Joris Van Raemdonck |
Joris Van Raemdonck took the degree of Master of Laws at the University of Ghent in 2003. Subsequently, he obtained the degrees of European Master in Law and Economics (University of Hamburg, 2004) and of Master of Economic Analysis of Law (University of Ghent, 2004).
